TOP 5

Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City

The Belgian is a fantasy football player’s dream. In City’s thrashing of Crystal Palace, De Bruyne scored his 5th goal of the season and picked up his 16th and 17th assists. Playing in a slightly deeper midfield role is really bringing out the playmaker in him. He’s sure to gain more points against Leicester City, West Brom and Watford.

Billy Jones, Sunderland

It hasn’t been a good season for Sunderland’s defence but their trip to Hull offered a rare beam of light. Jones grabbed his first goal of the season and helped his team secure a rare cleansheet. They may secure another when Swansea come to the Stadium of Light.

Sam Vokes, Burnley

The Welsh target man grabbed a brace against West Brom with a tap-in and a header. Burnley’s strikeforce has been goal-shy this season but Vokes has been the pick of the bunch. Bournemouth’s shaky defence may find him very hard to handle in this form.

Nicolás Otamendi, Manchester City

After a poor performance against Middlesbrough, City’s Argentinian defender bounced back well against Crystal Palace. Otamendi capped a solid display with a brilliant last-minute header. But will he be able to keep Jamie Vardy quiet against Leicester?

John O’Shea, Sunderland

The former Manchester United man used all of his experience to help Sunderland beat Hull. He formed a solid defensive partnership with Lamine Kone and at the other end of the pitch, his header set up Billy Jones’ goal. How will he fare against Swansea’s Fernando Llorente?

BOTTOM 5

Fabio Pereira da Silva, Middlesbrough

Fabio really is a player to avoid when it comes to fantasy football. The Brazilian fullback is a yellow card magnet in a losing team. Chelsea’s Eden Hazard was way out of his league and Southampton’s Nathan Redmond probably will be too.

Damien Delaney, Crystal Palace

Delaney was only on the pitch for 20 minutes against Manchester City but it was a disastrous cameo from the Irishman. He did nothing to shore up the leaky Palace defence. City scored 2 more goals and Delaney picked up a booking for a clumsy foul on Leroy Sané.

Allan-Roméo Nyom, West Bromwich Albion

Nyom was another nightmare substitute. He came on to the pitch for both of Burnley’s goals and received a late yellow card for a clumsy foul on Robbie Brady. To be fair to Nyom, the whole West Brom team seems to have taken an early summer holiday. But perhaps Tony Pulis will leave him on the bench against Chelsea.

Jeffrey  Schlupp, Crystal Palace

Sam Allardyce’s decision to put Schlupp at centre-back against Manchester City really backfired. Playing out of position, he was no match for the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sané. It seems unlikely that the experiment will be repeated against Hull City.

Martin Kelly, Crystal Palace

Another member of Palace’s awful defence against City. With Mamadou Sakho missing, Allardyce’s side have now lost three games in a row. If Kelly starts against Hull, he’ll need to be much stronger to ensure the club’s Premier League safety.
